William L. Davis

Mr. Davis graduated from Princeton University in 1965 with a bachelor's degree. From 1977 through 1997 he held a variety of positions with Emerson Electric Company, including the position of President of two of its subsidiaries, Appleton Electric Company and Skil Corporation, and Senior Executive Vice President for the Emerson Tool Group, the Industrial Motors and Drives Group and the Process Control Group.

Mr. Davis joined R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company in 1997 as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. In 2001, he accepted the responsibility as President of the company. Mr. Davis retired as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company in February 2004.

He serves on the Board of Directors of Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., is past Chairman of the Board of Evanston Northwestern Healthcare and a former Director of Mallinckrodt. Mr. Davis serves on the Board of Trustees of Northwestern University.
