Patrick J. Kuntz

Mr. Kuntz is vice president, Natural Gas and Crude Oil Sales for Marathon Oil Company. He began his career with Marathon in 1972 and was named to his current position in January 2000.

In 1998, Mr. Kuntz was named controller, Marathon Oil Company. He was appointed assistant controller for the upstream business in 1992.

Mr. Kuntz served as the downstream assistant controller in 1991 in Findlay, Ohio. In 1988 he was appointed manager of finance and administration, Marathon Oil UK in London, England. During the 1980s Mr. Kuntz advanced through a number of financial positions in Marathon, including manager of financial planning and manager of Internal Control within the Audit group. He became director, Industry and Corporate Affairs in 1977. In 1974 he was named supervisor, International Banking. Mr. Kuntz began his career with Marathon as a financial analyst in the Treasury organization in the Findlay offices.

Mr. Kuntz is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana. He earned a bachelor's degree in finance from Indiana University, Indiana, in 1971 and a master's degree in business administration from Bowling Green State University, Ohio, in 1984. Mr. Kuntz is a Certified Public Accountant.
