Mr. Lohoff is vice president of Corporate Responsibility for Marathon Petroleum Company LLC. He joined Ashland Inc. in 1977 and assumed his current responsibilities in August 2005.

In June 2003, Mr. Lohoff was named senior vice president, Corporate Responsibility for Marathon Ashland Petroleum Company LLC*. He assumed duties as senior vice president, Health, Environment & Safety and Public Affairs in January 2001. In May 1999, he was named compliance officer for the Company. Mr. Lohoff accepted the position of senior vice president, Human Resources, Health, Environment and Safety in January 1998.

Mr. Lohoff assumed duties as vice president, Human Resources, Safety and Law Administration for Ashland Petroleum Company in 1996. He was appointed vice president, Human Resources and Safety in 1992. He transferred to Ashland Petroleum Company in 1987 as director, Human Resources.

He functioned in various legal capacities for Ashland Inc. and its divisions between 1987 and 1977. Mr. Lohoff joined Ashland Inc. in 1977 as a labor relations attorney.

Mr. Lohoff earned a bachelor's degree in economics from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, in 1974. In 1977, he received a Juris Doctorate from the University of Louisville, Kentucky, School of Law. He is a 1988 graduate of Indiana University, Indiana's, executive development program and a 2001 graduate of Stanford University, California's, executive program.

Mr. Lohoff is president of the Black Swamp Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America, board member of the Hancock County Chapter of the American Red Cross and chairman of the board of GreaterFindlayInc. He also is a member of the American Bar Association, the Kentucky Bar Association and the Ethics & Compliance Officer Association.

A native of Tell City, Indiana, Mr. Lohoff and his wife have two sons.
