Thomas M. Kelley
Mr. Kelley is senior vice president of Marketing for Marathon Petroleum Company LLC. He joined Marathon in 1981, and was appointed to his current position in January 2010. He previously served as director of Crude Supply and Logistics.
Mr. Kelley graduated from Indiana State University in 1981 with a bachelor of science degree in Marketing. He attended the Wharton Executive Management Program in 2002. Mr. Kelley joined Marathon Oil Company in June 1981 as a marketing associate in the Brand organization. He held several field representative positions during a nearly seven year period in Brand and Wholesale Marketing.
Between 1981 and 1995, Kelley held several positions of increasing responsibility in the Marketing organization, and in 1995, he was appointed manager, Product Acquisition. He subsequently served as manager, Wholesale Marketing and then division manager, Brand Marketing.
He assumed the role of director of Crude Supply and Logistics in January 2008, and in this position he was responsible for all of Marathon's domestic and international crude oil supply and crude oil trading activities which support Marathon's network of seven U.S. refineries.
Mr. Kelley is a member of the American Petroleum Institute, currently serving on the General
Committee on Marketing. He attended the 30th Oxford Energy Seminar in 2008.
