Both the capital of Oklahoma and its largest city, Oklahoma City boasts numerous attractions related to its Western heritage, such as the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum and one of the largest stockyards in the country.

Oklahoma City is also known as the "horse show capital of the world." With 1.2 million residents in the greater metropolitan area, entertainment and recreational opportunities abound.  Oklahoma hosts several major and minor league sports teams and a downtown area featuring the futuristic-looking Crystal Bridge and the National Memorial and Museum, which pays tributes to the victims of the 1995 Murrah building bombing.
