Law clerks practice under the supervision of staff attorneys and become familiar with the types of work typical to both corporate and private practices. Work projects include reviewing contracts, researching environmental or regulatory compliance issues, drafting pleadings, answering discovery requests, preparing memoranda on legal issues, analyzing offers of settlement and litigation, reviewing appeals processes and company participation in joint defenses, and helping to set up or attend data rooms for asset transactions.
