Supply and Transportation: The Transportation & Logistics (T&L) organization is the link between various components of Marathon Petroleum Company LLC (MPC) and Marathon Oil Company (MOC), including production, refining and marketing. T&L transports crude oil and refined products to and from the refineries and on to service stations. A T&L co-op will be assigned to the following components: Marketing & Transportation Engineering provides engineering and project management services to Terminal, Transport & Marine; Marathon Pipe Line Company LLC; Marathon branded marketing and Speedway Super America; Terminal, Transport & Marine is responsible for MPC's product distribution facilities and operations; Marathon Pipe Line Company LLC operates pipeline systems that move crude oil and refined products.

Assignments:  The purpose of T&L's co-op program is to develop future technical and managerial talent for the benefit of Marathon Petroleum Company LLC, the engineering student and the engineering profession. The co-op program typically consists of 3 to 5 work sessions. The co-op will likely rotate between different T&L components to become exposed to various areas of the company and to offer a variety of assignments with increasing responsibility.  The student will be introduced to all phases of project management including planning, estimating, negotiating, permitting and construction oversight.
