ColoradoMarathon's leasehold position in the Piceance Basin of Colorado, includes approximately 9,000 net acres, with total net mean resource of 725 billion cubic feet (bcf), and P90 resource of approximately 1,300 bcf. The acreage, in Garfield County in the Greater Grand Valley Field Complex, is flanked by, and on-trend with, adjacent production. The primary reservoir is the Williams Fork Formation of the Mesaverde Group, which is characterized as a massive 3,000-foot thick sequence of stacked over-pressured channel sands in a continuous gas accumulation. The target reservoir is encountered at measured depths of 6,500 to 8,500 feet. The Company is currently running one rig, and anticipates drilling approximately 15 wells within the Basin during 2010 (and approximately 75 wells over the next five years). This program has the potential to add net peak production of up to 50 mmcfd of gas by 2020. |
