Special Products MarketingMarathon is a producer and marketer of various petrochemicals and specialty products. Propane and sulfur are produced and sold at all seven Marathon refineries. Propylene, ranging in purity from refinery grade to polymer grade, is produced and sold at all refineries except Canton. The Catlettsburg refinery produces cumene, toluene, xylene and dilute naphthalene oil. The Texas City refinery produces benzene, toluene and xylene. Marathon's Neal, West Virginia, plant produces maleic anhydride. Products are shipped via pipeline, barge, rail and truck from refineries or terminals to customers throughout the U.S. |
