Refining
Marathon’s operations include a seven-plant refinery network with 1,188,000 barrels per day (bpd) of crude oil throughput capacity. The system is managed as a single refining, transportation and marketing entity, enhancing the Company’s flexibility in supplying markets throughout the Midwest and Southeast.
Marathon’s refineries are integrated via pipelines and barges to maximize operating efficiency. The transportation links that connect the refineries allow the movement of intermediate products to optimize operations.
