Pipeline Engineering
Marketing and Transportation Engineering (M&TE) Pipeline Engineering performs multi-discipline engineering design and project management services for pipeline facilities in crude oil and refined petroleum service. We offer clients a comprehensive package of services using in-house resources including mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and civil engineering design services.

Conceptual Evaluation/Project Development/Feasibility Analysis
Project evaluation and development begins with an objective assessment of the problem to be solved and a preliminary design concept. The process includes economic appraisal and review of the design concept in terms of the client's goals, budget and schedule. A strategic project planning process ensures appropriate input and buy-in is received from all stakeholders.
Design Engineering
Upon approval of the preliminary design concept, M&TE Pipeline Engineering provides complete engineering services including design, specification development, cost estimating, cost control and scheduling.
Permits/Approvals
M&TE Pipeline Engineering has extensive experience in the permitting process for environmental, construction and regulatory compliance. We have working knowledge and familiarity with the personnel and procedures of agencies such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Texas Railroad Commission, the U.S. Department of Transportation's Office of Pipeline Safety, the U.S. Minerals Management Service (MMS), the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and other state and federal regulatory agencies, which enables us to secure approvals for design and construction in an efficient manner.

Working with Marathon Petroleum Company's Purchasing & Commercial Services staff, M&TE Pipeline Engineering can offer a complete range of material procurement and contract services.
Quality Assurance/Inspection Services
Working with qualified inspection firms, M&TE Pipeline Engineering coordinates all areas of inspection to ensure a safe and high quality product is generated.
Project Management
As project manager or liaison between the owner and contractors, M&TE Pipeline Engineering coordinates all areas of engineering, construction and procurement to schedule and expedite completion of the client's project within budget.
Project Documentation
M&TE Pipeline Engineering uses a systematic approach to record keeping to ensure that the finished product is properly documented, as-built and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
