Gas-to-Fuels

As part of our search for new energy sources, Marathon is working on potential game-changing technology to convert remote (or stranded) natural gas to liquid fuels.

The Marathon-proprietary Gas-to-Fuels (GTF^TM) technology bypasses conventional intermediate syngas technology, which is relatively expensive and inefficient, to produce high-quality premium fuels and petrochemical feedstocks.  If successful, we'll be able to create easily transportable fuels, including gasoline and chemical feedstocks, for the world market.

And, the patented GTF^TM technology produces less carbon dioxide than other gas-conversion processes. This could have a great impact in helping meet the world's increasing demand for environmentally friendly energy.
